After the Grenfell Tower fire in June 2017, the UK, Scottish and Welsh governments launched multiple measures to tackle urgent building safety issues, prioritising stronger protection for residents of high-rise residential buildings. The UK government commissioned an independent review of Building Regulations and fire safety; its final report, the Hackitt report, was issued on 17 May 2018. This Practice Note describes the scope of confidentiality attaching to the schedule and sets out how it differs from a standard consent order.
