Alfred Artley

Alfred is a barrister at Monckton Chambers, practising predominantly in EU, public procurement and general commercial law. He has been instructed in a number of significant procurement challenges in recent years, including the 2019 Rail Franchise Litigation, where he appeared as junior counsel for the Department of Transport in both the High Court and Court of Appeal. He is a regular contributor to a number of legal blogs and publications, including Public Procurement Law Review and the Tax Journal, and frequently speaks at seminars on his areas of expertise. Before coming to the Bar he taught Classics at Winchester College for four years.
