Law No 27 of 1994 on arbitration in civil and commercial matters
International arbitration in Egypt is regulated by Law No 27 of 1994 on Arbitration in Civil and Commercial Matters (the ‘Arbitration Law’). Modelled on the UNCITRAL Model Law and the principles underpinning it and on which it is based, it became effective on 22 May 1994.
