CCUS (carbon capture, utilisation and storage) describes projects and regulatory frameworks for capturing carbon dioxide (CO2) from power generation and industrial processes, transporting it (by pipeline, ship or road tanker) and either using it in industry (for example in soft drinks manufacture or, where permitted, enhanced oil recovery) or permanently storing it in geological formations.
