On 24 February 2021, the chartered governance institute (CGI) issued updated guidance (the 2021 Guidance), anticipating that general meetings would need to be conducted on a closed basis until at least 17 May 2021, and potentially until at least 21 June, due to the government’s ‘stay at home measures’.
