On 14 February 2022, the CMA announced its decision to levy fines totalling almost £4.7m on JD Sports Fashion plc and Footasylum plc for breaching an interim order and an information request issued under section 109 of the Enterprise Act 2002. The order barred JD Sports and Footasylum from sharing commercially sensitive information without prior consent and required the companies to alert the CMA immediately to any possibility that such information had been exchanged.
