It acted as a reference resource to track EU–UK divergence in legislation and guidance relevant to the life sciences sector from the close of the Brexit implementation period (eg 31 December 2020) following the UK’s decision to leave the EU, through to 2023. Where relevant, it also highlighted principal areas of divergence within the UK itself (between Great Britain (GB) and Northern Ireland (ni)). For the purposes of this Practice Note, ‘divergence’ means differences in legislation, guidance or mandated standards arising after IP completion day (11 pm on 31 December 2020).
