What does Maladministration mean? Maladministration describes flawed administrative action or inaction by a public authority, or someone acting on its behalf, in the exercise of its administrative functions that causes injustice or hardship to a member of the public. It is a broad, descriptive expression used across ombudsman investigations and administrative law.
