What does Multi-track mean? In civil litigation in England and Wales, the multi-track is the case management route for complex or higher-value claims that do not fit the small claims, fast or intermediate tracks. It is provided for by the Civil Procedure Rules, principally Part 26 on track allocation. Multi-track cases typically involve substantial value, multiple parties or issues, extensive disclosure, expert evidence, and trials lasting more than a day.
