Parent company guarantees

Parent company guarantees (PCGs) are typically supplied to an employer by a main contractor’s holding or parent company. In short, where the main contractor fails to meet its obligations under the construction contract, the employer may pursue the holding/parent company for redress, either in monetary terms or, where the parent has adequate resources, by requiring performance, enabling it to step in and continue delivery of the project in the main contractor’s place as necessary...
