What does Parameters mean? Parameters, in planning and infrastructure consenting practice, describe the defined limits of a proposed scheme—its form, scale, location, alignment and operational envelope—within which the detailed design may lawfully vary. Under a Development Consent Order (dco) for a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project in England and Wales, parameters are fixed by the Order’s works descriptions, Works/Parameter Plans and Requirements, including any horizontal and vertical limits of deviation. If a role becomes vacant because of a departure, consider whether to recruit with identical, lower, or greater experience.
