What does Platforms mean? In legal and advisory practice, platforms are online investment administration systems used by advisers and clients to manage portfolios across multiple tax wrappers and products from a single interface. The term is descriptive (not statutory), though the FCA Glossary defines the related concept of a “platform service.” Usage is broadly consistent across England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland; in Ireland, similar services are regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. Further guidance is provided on interpreting and applying the relevant provisions of the CPR; however, some courts and divisions impose very specific requirements for both drafting and approval, and for approaching the schedule and confidentiality issues. Accordingly, you must consider the particular rules and court guide provisions in the forum where your claim is proceeding when drawing up the Tomlin order...
