What does Relevant employer mean? In practice, “relevant employer” describes an employer that falls within the statutory pensions consultation duty when proposing a “listed change” to an occupational or personal pension scheme. The term is defined in legislation: the Occupational and Personal Pension Schemes (Consultation by Employers and Miscellaneous Amendment) Regulations 2006 (as amended) for Great Britain.
