What does Relevant employer mean? In practice, “relevant employer” describes an employer that falls within the statutory pensions consultation duty when proposing a “listed change” to an occupational or personal pension scheme. The term is defined in legislation: the Occupational and Personal Pension Schemes (Consultation by Employers and Miscellaneous Amendment) Regulations 2006 (as amended) for Great Britain.   • the right for union officials, learning representatives of the union and other union members to take time away from work for trade union duties and/or activities
  • the right to be consulted in respect of collective redundancies
  • rights to information and Consultation in connection with the transfer of undertakings
  • the right to information and consultation on health and safety matters
  • information and consultation rights relating to pension schemes
  • rights in relation to training
