FORTHCOMING CHANGE :

From 6 April 2020, the Employment Rights (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2019, SI 2019/731, widen the entitlement to a written statement of employment particulars so that it applies to every category of ‘worker’, rather than just ‘employees’. Taking effect on the same date, the Employment Rights (Employment Particulars and Paid Annual Leave) (Amendment) Regulations 2018, SI 2018/1378, make this an entitlement from the outset of work (ie a day 1 right) and oblige inclusion of further particulars: the days of the week the individual is required to work (together with any variation to that), any terms and conditions relating to paid leave, particulars of any other benefits, details of any probationary period, and any training.
