In legal practice, “InvestEurope” refers to the pan‑European industry association for the private equity and venture capital sector, commonly cited in fund formation, regulatory and investor reporting contexts. It is not a defined term in legislation or case law; rather, it is a descriptive reference to the trade body representing general partners, limited partners and related advisers across Europe. InvestEurope engages with EU institutions on policy and regulation affecting alternative investment funds, including regimes such as the AIFMD, SFDR and cross‑border marketing rules. It publishes widely used professional standards and investor reporting guidance that firms often adopt or reference in limited partnership agreements, side letters, disclosure frameworks and compliance policies.
