Local strategic partnership meaning

What does Local strategic partnership mean?
A local strategic partnership is a multi-agency forum convened by a local authority to coordinate area-wide strategy and service delivery with public, private, voluntary and community bodies. It is a descriptive, non-statutory term (not defined in legislation or case law) used chiefly in England in the 2000s. Legal work commonly involves governance, information-sharing, funding and commissioning arrangements, and ensuring compliance with public law consultation and equality duties. Jurisdictional usage varies. In Wales, similar collaboration is delivered through Public Services Boards. Scotland and Northern Ireland use Community Planning Partnerships under their community planning regimes and do not generally use the LSP label. In Ireland, comparable coordination is through...

US warns EU against ‘Made in Europe’ procurement preferences, citing WTO GPA and 2025 EU‑US accord, as Brussels drafts European Competitiveness Fund and Industrial Accelerator Act

The US administration has warned against applying ‘Made in Europe’ rules in the European Competitiveness Fund The US administration has cautioned the EU against imposing ‘Made in Europe’ requirements within the European Competitiveness Fund — a pillar of the bloc’s long-term budget for strategic industry — arguing such conditions would constrain international firms, fracture supply chains and dilute strong trade ties, a document seen by MLex indicates. The EU’s preference provisions, intended to direct public funds to companies operating inside the union and to bolster local supply networks, would, the paper adds, impose undue burdens on EU businesses and institutions that collaborate with the US and other international partners. It emphasises that the US and the EU together form the world’s largest trade and investment relationship and have a track record of driving innovation and mutual competitiveness. The US wants the EU to continue supporting — and expand — this robust economic partnership by adopting policies and legislation that foster increased trade and investment...
