RadioPro Ltd meaning

What does RadioPro Ltd mean?
In legal practice, RadioPro Ltd is an online music-licensing platform (accessed via RadioPro.eu) through which independent artists upload recordings and licence them directly to commercial and creative users—such as television programmes and series, films, advertisements and documentaries—on fees set by the artist. The term is not defined in legislation or case law; it is a descriptive reference to a private service encountered in copyright and media contracting. Licences via RadioPro typically cover synchronisation and/or master-use rights granted by the artist or rightsholder. They do not replace the need for public performance or communication-to-the-public licences where music is played in a public place or broadcast. In England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, these are usually obtained from PRS for Music (performing right) and PPL (neighbouring rights); in Ireland, from IMRO and PPI. Composition/publishing rights may require additional clearance (e.g., PRS/MCPS in the UK; IMRO/MCPSI in Ireland) if not bundled. Practically, lawyers should verify scope (media, territory, term), exclusivity, fee setting and revenue share, warranties and chain of title, indemnities, moral rights, take-down/termination, and any conflict with collecting-society assignments. Usage and legal treatment are broadly consistent across the UK and Ireland.

Recapture or turnaround provision ‘Recapture’ states that a licence will lapse and all rights will automatically return to the author/owner after a defined period if, by its end, the producer has not carried out specified actions. ‘Turnaround’ grants the author/owner, within a set timeframe, the ability to notify the producer requiring reassignment of certain project rights in exchange for payment of particular sums.
