Studio agreement between company and producer meaning

What does Studio agreement between company and producer mean?
A studio agreement between company and producer is the contract used in practice when a studio owner/operator (the company) makes its premises, stages and facilities available to a producer for a film, TV or advertising production. It is not a defined term in legislation or case law; rather, a descriptive label for a licence to occupy combined with a facilities/services hire agreement, typically drafted to avoid creating a lease. Core terms usually address: scope of access and permitted use; booking/hold periods, term and working hours; fees, overtime and cancellation charges; health and safety, fire and site rules; equipment, utilities and ancillary services; damage, reinstatement and deposits; insurance (public/employers’ liability and property) and indemnities; limitations of liability; security and access control; data protection and CCTV; intellectual property and confidentiality; third-party rights; termination and force majeure; and governing law and jurisdiction. Across England & Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland, usage is broadly consistent. Particular care is taken to preserve a licence (no exclusive possession) to avoid unintended landlord and tenant rights, and to align with local occupiers’ liability regimes and permitting requirements. The agreement typically sits alongside location releases, talent/crew contracts and broadcaster or streamer deliverables.
