DBT updates overseas entities register guidance on trust information access

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) has updated its guidance on the Register of Overseas Entities to set out new provisions for access to trust information, effective from 31 August 2025. Under the Register of Overseas Entities (Protection and Trusts) (Amendment) Regulations 2025, SI 2025/231, individuals can request access to previously non-public trust information from Companies House for a fee of £55 per entity...

This Practice Note This Practice Note reviews mechanisms used in settling litigation. A Tomlin order consists of a consent order paired with a schedule. It operates to stay proceedings on terms that have been agreed. The provisions contained in the schedule may remain confidential. This Practice Note describes the scope of confidentiality attaching to the schedule and sets out how it differs from a standard consent order.
