Google’s €1.49bn antitrust penalty in the AdSense matter overturned. On 18 September 2024, the General Court of the European Union set aside the fine for alleged abuse of dominance in online search advertising intermediation, finding the EU competition authority had not sufficiently assessed the period for which the contracts applied.
