FRC launches consultation on Draft Annual Plan and Budget 2026-27

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has opened a consultation regarding its Draft Annual Plan and Budget for 2026–27, referred to as the Draft Annual Plan. This document outlines the regulator’s priorities and resource allocation for the year ahead. Delivery in 2026–27 will comprise five core projects:

  1. End-to-End Enforcement
  2. Future Audit Supervision Strategy
  3. Enterprise Resource Planning
  4. FRC programme to support Small-Medium Enterprises
  5. FRC Innovation and Improvement Hub

The FRC intends to undertake these activities as efficiently as possible, in line with principles of managing public money, considering economic impact, and ensuring value for the public and the UK economy. The consultation closes on 6 February 2026. See: LNB News 15/12/2025 31...

Sample wording for a Tomlin order is included, alongside links to precedents, as well as guidance on court approval. It also addresses varying, setting aside and enforcing a Tomlin order, including the considerations the court will take into account when handling applications for each. Further guidance is provided on interpreting and applying the relevant provisions of the CPR; however, some courts and divisions impose very specific requirements for both drafting and approval, and for approaching the schedule and confidentiality issues. Accordingly, you must consider the particular rules and court guide provisions in the forum where your claim is proceeding when drawing up the Tomlin order...
