CFP publishes 2024 Annual Report The Committee on Fuel Poverty (CFP) has released its 2024 Annual Report, entitled ‘Can Fuel Poverty be Ended?’. The report sets out the progress of the government’s fuel poverty strategy and the policies intended to enhance energy efficiency and make fuel-poor homes in England more affordable. Electricity and gas market regulation and licensing

Ofgem publishes changes to energy price cap between 1 October to 31 December 2024 Ofgem has set revised energy price cap levels for suppliers. From 1 October to 31 December 2024, the price of energy for a typical household using electricity and gas and paying by Direct Debit will rise to £149 per year. This reflects a 10% increase, adding roughly £12 per month to an average bill. The new cap is 6% (£117) lower than the equivalent period last year (£1,834). See: LNB News 23/08/2024 7...
