In October 2022, the CCPC was notified of a concern about potential anti-competitive behaviour by ATU Donegal (previously Letterkenny Institute of Technology) at the time. ATU Donegal now sits within the multi-campus ATU, established in April 2022 through the merger of institutes of technology in Donegal, Sligo, Mayo and Galway. It was claimed that ATU Donegal had led graduands—those preparing to graduate—to assume they should obtain their graduation gowns from a single provider.
