European Commission seeks views on rules to create AI science advisory panel

The European Commission is conducting a public consultation on a draft implementing measure intended to set up a scientific advisory group of independent AI specialists. This panel will provide technical guidance, support the implementation and enforcement of the EU AI Act, and warn the AI Office about risks arising from AI models. DSIT issues update to Online Safety Act 2023 impact assessment

The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) has released an impact assessment updating the Online Safety Act 2023 (OSA 2023) final stage impact assessment previously published in 2022, together with a research and analysis report that sets out the OSA 2023’s impact. It operates to stay proceedings on terms that have been agreed. The provisions contained in the schedule may remain confidential.
