What does Interim receiver mean? An interim receiver is a temporary court appointee who secures and preserves a debtor’s assets after a bankruptcy petition is presented but before a bankruptcy order (adjudication in Ireland) is made. The role is preventive: to take control of property at risk of dissipation, secure books and records, collect income, and report to the court, without making distributions to creditors.
